Any ideas how i can get this to work better - theres about 5-600ms delay when running sound 2 light from DJ mixer out to PC sound card - sound blaster audilogy

Any card that supports an ASIO driver should do it, which the Audigy does (I'm assuming thats what you meant)
 
I would guess the lag isn't with the sound card, or is inherent somewhere in the system.
 
I used to produce music on Logic using an Audigy and I could get the latency (using full duplex) down to around 30ms which is big, but not too bad.  Certainly a far cry from 600ms.

I'll check it out 30ms isn't going to notice but with 600ms its like having a drunk lampy punching buttons

i have a relatively cheap M-Audio Audiophile card, which has a latency of around 10ms though firewire. works perfectly fine for me :). also check your software can support low latency. I use martin lightjockey a lot, which has minimal latency issues.

Yeah, the point i was trying to make is that the latency may not be with the sound card....
