Hi, I posted this in another general area, but thought here would probably get more views, being a computer related issue. Anyway I have used 2 x computers and 2 x 14" CRT monitors for DJing for a good number of years now, and have had problems with the connections eventually failing. Mainly it seems to be the rear tube plug that rattles loose. I loose colours etc, until I have to smack it every now and again to actually get the picture back:)
I do run around 5kW of bass thru 4 x 18" bandpass boxes, which sometimes you get a bass 'lobe' near the desk/monitor area, maximising vibration.
So the question is, it's about time I revisited and upgraded my gear, so was wondering whether LCD monitors are reasonably strong vibration-wise?
Any help would be appreciated.

LCD screens will be a better choice - they are innately less sensitive to vibration, less parts and inside the flat panel is connected to the controller with a flat ribbon laminate cable that is glued in place usually, especially in cheap screens.

Cheap as chips. Buy three with three year warranties. Hans-G warranty through Repairtech is good. Keep one in the van.
It's everything, not everythink!

LCDs arent messed up magnetically like CRTs, so they're better if they're round cabs :)
