Hi guys,

I was looking at building 2 1850 horns then a further 2 later on but was wondering if any of you guys know what the v-18 1000 performs like in the 1850 horn.

Id prefer the v-18 1000 because of the lower price and also that many people on this forum have been saying that it requires less power to get it going than the pd1850.

I know that pap are selling the Looney bins which are basically the 1850horn modified with a modified version of v-18 1000 driver in but i it would cost me less to build 1850's myself.

Chrz for any help guys.

Don't hold me to it but most likely the void will be fine in the 1850 horn as-is.  The V18-1000 is basically a version of the PD1850 specifically for bass horns.  A horn response sim comparing the 1850 vs V1000 in the same horn should indicate whether any mods are required.  Only possible changes might be rear chamber volume and throat area.
