hi everyone
im using 2x g-subs (2x 18"s) per side with 1 2x12" per side , mid cab above it crossover at 120hz loads of sub no kick bass ? what do you recomend please 2x15" on top the g-subs ? thanks

if your two 12" have enough steam i would try to crossover lower so you get bass from g-subs and kick from 12", would say around 80hz should be fine with most 12s?!
just have a try with different crossovers and look if it gets better or worse. cheers p.s. whats the tuning of the 12er kicks? might be too high or too low aswell... |

What sort of EQ are you using? I imagine you'd need some 'baffle step compensation' i.e. something to approximate a 5-6dB/octave rising slope below around 300hz. Are you using any delay? Unless the crossover filters are steep it's possible there may be some cancellation around the crossover point without delay.
2x15" on top of the G-subs would be good and it'll raise stack height nicely :) |
