I love mac, and whilst very stable, osx does crash - trust me

You certainly could do it through logic, but i'd never do it on a gig

4 ohms is for wimps

actually come to think of it, logic has never failed me either - it sometimes throws errors about stupid little things, but its pretty bombproof.

I think latency would be a problem - firewire might not be quick enough.

Used to have a MOTU 24io that was just about good enough, maybe they've got a lot better.

Else maybe use ADAT interface, so the AD andtheis hardware based to speed things up?

hm didn't know about that ADAT interface, but it seems to be a good solution.
But i don't think it would be a big problem, i'm having like 5ms latency and i don't really hear the slightest delay..
