Hello all

Thank you very much with all the help I have in-directly recieved from you all, it has been a massive help...but now im stuck .

I have made my speakers (X1's and X15's) but now its a matter of painting them.

Does anyone have any idea as to what i could use? Would normal gloss be ok ?

Thanks again

Raj

If you've made them well out of good wood then it doesn't really matter that much what you paint them with.

But gloss would look a bit sh*t.

I have always used black eggshell. You can get it at most Dulux trade places. You need two coats though.

Can vouch for the Aldcroft Ahesives speaker paint. Cost around £27 for 5kg delivered and can be applied with a textured roller for a nicce finish.  hard wearing and easily touched up

How many coats of this do you use? I've just painted some cabs with it, and they needed about six coats before it covered well, and then one texture coat. Maybe I'm putting it on too thin? I use a smooth mini roller.
