Hello frends I have Beyma CP21-F for frequency above 5KHz and I want to build 2-way, HP 100Hz What you think about PD.121 for low\mid range (100Hz - 5KHz) Do you know anything better I want to use PD.2450 bassreflex subwoofer (20Hz - 100Hz) Thank you in advance Regards Stefan |

PD2450 Sub??? Please don't tell me this is for touring use! Driver on it's own weighs ~40kg and will require a cabinet the size of a small house!
Saying that, I'd love to design a BIG sub to use one just for the novelty of a 24" driver On a more sensible note, 5k is a bit high to cross straight from a 12" to a supertweeter. Not many 12" drivers will sound nice up that high. You're either looking at putting something inbetween (e.g. 6") or a different top end which can be crossed lower. I wouldn't want to take a direct radiating 12" above about 2.5kHz. |

You are right ceharden I want to use it in my room for movies and music but everithing which I heard to this moment was too silent and bass wasn't what I want (~18Hz with loudness which is possible to destroy a bulding) That's why I think that this is the perfect subwoofer for me. What is your opinion ceharden. Do you have any plans for bassreflex box for it? I will use HP about 100 Hz and LP 18 Hz Please see specs on PD.121 on this page: http://www.precision-devices.com/showdetails.asp?id=8 in .pdf file I think that is greatest low\mid speaker in combination of 2 of PD.121 (16 Ohm) and Beyma CP21-F with crossover point 5KHz, 2nd order. I use Crown CTs 600. I want to knou what you think for my choice. Is it right? |
