hi, can anyone tell me if all the mt122 is constructed from 18mm (and not 12mm) ply? inc the horn flare part and baffles? would 12mm be unsuitable for this cabinet? i'm thinking of weight saving.

cheers!

I think it is easier to make this thing out of a mould, considdering that one needs a couple of these.

Anything which is not a driver chamber or requires structural strength can most likely be made from thinner wood. 18mm can be excessive for some applications.

All the inside sections are 12mm and the sides are supposed to be 18mm. I THINK it would be okay, you could try it and put braces on the inside if they need it.

a mould is an interesting idea, what would you use to mould?
