Hi,
I'm planning to build a pair of 1850's, and have a question - why not to make opened top (with screws) to have access to the loudspeaker, and omit rear door like in design plan ? Anybody try it like this ? Maybe you have some suggestions ? Thanks, hdk |

this might be problem at the front where the little panel sits across the corner.
also as the driver would be dropped in from the top the throat area would decreased and the chamber increased. the battens you'd have to install would also do the same.

Sounds like a real redesign..
Might as well increase horn length from approx 5.5ft, to 6.5ft, to make it approx 45hz horn. |
