Hi,

I don't notice any difference between putting them up right or with both ports touching the flour as Rog and other forum members recommend. There probably is a difference though, but I think that it is rather small.
I like my sugar with coffee and cream

''Some X12 on top of X1's:''

how did this combination sound mate, and where did you cross the X1's at? I'm curious as people have always said to use a kick bin (like a hd15) on top of the X1 sub.
Looks neat btw

If you put a 1.5" driver straight on a 2" horn you'll really screw up the sound, because of the very abrupt transition in the area of the sound path.
That adapter allows the transition to happen more gradually and thus smoothly, with the intent of yielding a much more useable result.
Of course, if you use a horn and driver with the same throat size to start with, then you don't have that problem.

Throat, not through.
It's the diameter of the exit of the compression driver where it mates to the horn.
Cheers,
David.
