At last construction is finished and I'm now to the phase of dampening. I have a TON of this nice wooly synthetic stuff but I'm not able to use the recommended amount without almost filling the whole box. The plans for these single 18s on 18sound's website says specifically NOT to impede airflow to the vent so how far from the vent can I fill? Is it wrong to fill between the vent and the driver? Sorry for such a basic question but I can't find anything specifically how to pack a box.

I use egg box foam for HIFI, Dacron for BR, and wool felt for FLH
egg box foam is glued, the other 2 are stapled to the walls only, never packed or loose |
