I've planning to build a few punishers, but haven't heard or fiddled with one yet. I know Walt suggests crossing to an X-tro at 90hz, but I was hoping for a higher frequency to meet my mid-tops (currently a pile of paper and scribbles).
Has anyone tried 100/120hz? do they sound any good going this high? this could save me a fair bit of horn length/size on the low mid. thanks |

Think its pretty much around 90 as far as i understand. Options are to have a meety mid/top that can come down to meet it, or maybe put some HD-15's in between? kev |

I was trying to avoid an hd15 or similar inbetween to keep a two box setup. My planned mid-top cab won't be such a beast as an x-tro as I need something light enough to be a one man lift (although I'm quite strong). I was therefore planning a horn loaded 12" for low mid, and hoping to avoid a bp/horn hybrid in order to maximise quality and efficiency. I don't want a cab which is 1 metre+ long though, so if I can cross higher that would make things much easier.
