this might be a bit of a stupid q but wots the difference between the 186 n 1850? from all i can c the drawings look the same on both but it just seems that 1 of them is about 50mm taller. is there any other differences? what 1s the best?

186 sealed back chamber volume is bigger - different drivers needed, will play bit lower...

ok thanks wot 1 then will be the cheapest to load and i presume there isnt a easyer 1 2 build out of the 2 as the have both got the same layout??

there both the same height. and i think you get more db's from the 186 people say the 186horn sounds a little more musical than the 1850horn and that the 1850horn can have a hard sound. i think this is down to the driver used in the 1850horn.

it would be cheaper to build 186horn as the pd186 is a cheaper driver to buy. difficultie wise to build id say they were both the same.

have a scan through the 1850horn/186horn ection theres quite a few answers in there that will give you more of an idea about the two.

Couldnt of said it better myself, i have 4 186 horns myself and love them. Make sure you stick a pd186 driver in them tho and not a cheaper alternative, it makes a big difference imo.

i would like to point out my post is second hand from use's views and not personal to me. as i have never heard used or owned 186horn/1850horn.
