I have been reading the site with great interest and I am now planning to build a box/boxes for 2x12" subwoofers.
The box(s) will be used in a relativly enclosed space inside a 12m x 6m marquee to around 50 people, the marquee will be sealed with the sides down. I already have a pair of JL car audio subwoofers laying around in the garage so I plan to use these, all the specs can be found here http://mobile.jlaudio.com/pdfs/8-12W6_BDS.pdf Can you recommend a design and wheather I should make a single box for both drivers or 2 boxes. |

The PDF has a recommended box for each driver why not use that?

Sorry, this should have gone in the plan requests section too.
The standard 4 sided box designs work well in the boot of a car but dont seem to work all that well outside of such an enclosed space. I didnt know if a 'non car design' might work better after seeing all the various designs on here. |

The only way those will be acceptable will be in a front loaded horn.

dont use a car speaker, sell them and buy drivers specified for the design you want.

I can do a design for you in Hornresp, give you the throat area, chamber volume, length, and mouth area. You can look at other designs to figure out the build details.
For reference, look at a Punisher (search).
