I am building a 10" coaxial floor monitor. I am using bass box 6 pro to help me calculate my required volume for the box, calculate port diameter and length. I am finding some strange results in the CD graph.
As you can see everything below 400HZ is above the XMAX ability of the speaker I am using. Some info for the speaker and box parameters I am using. I can't see the images, but I would suspect that the quoted Xmax is wrong. 0.035" is less than 1mm. It is probably a typo on the spec' sheet.

It shows you the importance of doing the computer modelling before you buy the drive unit. 0.35" or 9mm (8.89mm for the pedants) would seem more typical for a 12" bass driver. |
