CAN SOMEONE TELL ME THE REQUIRED amperage TRANSFORMER I WOULD NEED TO RUN A 300 WATT RMS. CAR AMPLIFIER I KNOWN THAT THE VOLT SHOULD BE ABOUT 9V. AFTER RECTIFICATION IT WILL BE 12V. AND HOW MUCH Farad MY FILTER CAPS SHOULD BE?

300w /12v = 25a
but if your amp is 300w rms your probably drawing more than 300w
so id go a bit biger
also (someone corect me if im wrong) most amps ar desinged to run at 13v this may make a difrence
as for filter caps do you mean for smothing the power

if the system is staying in one place and only being used one a week or so a deep cycle battery and small charger/trickle charge may be a cheeper alternative

It sounds like you're trying to set your car amp up for indoor/mains use?

But anyways, unless your setup is in a car, don't use power caps.

What I have done in the past is to use a SMPS from a computer. A modern decent one gives pretty good current, perhaps not 25 amps though.

dont need to go bonkers like this but something like these guys:
