Scanners blowng fuses

I have 2 250w msd futurelight scanners that are blowing fuses. 1 only does it occasionally, maybe every other gig. 1 blows every time you turn the scanner on, the fan will start, the lamp ignites and then pop. Any ideas of common problems that will cause this?
