Hi Guys
I have had this XTi-2000 sitting in the lockup for bloody ages as it has an intermittent fault (thermal lights come both suddenly start flashing at random - under normal conditions - not overheating). Heatsink voltage jumps from the usual 30v to about 85v at this point. Anyway, there's not much information about on what could be the cause (and the board appears to be in perfect condition) so I'm looking for a good local amp repair guy/company. I'm near Portsmouth and travel all the time to London. Is there anyone near me? If not I'll probably send it to abeltronics, but I would rather avoid couriering an amp!! I would need an equal weight of packaging compared to the amp in order to give it the level of protection that it will need for 24h in the hand of your favourite parcel abuser. Alternatively, if anyone happens to know what the issue might be then feel free to suggest and/or give me some steps to diagnose. I'm happy enough with normal soldering, but not geared up for SMD stuff. Cheers, John Cheers, John |
