hey guy am lookin to build a pair of x1 using the 18sound 12w700 or the 12mb600 but on the plans it say 18MM dept is this right?? 18mm sound like the thickness of a plywood can i just glue an piece of 120x120mm behine the speaker baffel an just cut out the 100mm hole??

Presumably you're talking about the X12 rather than X1? If so the port depth is 18mm, the thickness of the ply IE just a hole. Not sure what you mean about the 120mm x 120mm hole.

yeah the ports are just a hole through 18mm ply. made to be easy in this case.

lol my bad not the x1 but the x12 so all i need to do is cut a 100mm hole in baffel an dat it?

well, cut 2
the box was designed around different drivers so i dunno if you'll want to sim your ones or whatever to check the tuning... i'm sure people have said the 18sound ones work lovely in a box like that though. |
