Ive owned one for the last 2 months and I've used one for a few years. I have the Mk2 version with es1.0 and es1.8 subs and the EPAK2500R amps.
I honestly can't fault it. Its loud, sounds great and its relatively light. I can even stack it in our van in one stack (minus amp rack) People harp on about the frequency response having holes in and that they break up when pushed. Although I have the Mk2 and have never mixed on the Mk1 to compare I couldn't imagine these statements being true! I've done Whitesnake on my ES System and it managed it VERY well and everyone including the band commented on the sound of the system and that it didn't even sound if it was being pushed. Phil

Well KV2 is working hard lately, new stuff on their website.
KV2 ES sounds okay, just never liked their subs that much. |

It all depends on what you want to use I for.
I use mine for live music everything from rock to jazz. The system always performs well for me and I can't fault the NEW MK2 subs. I use the ES 1.8 single 18s which are more of a hybrid reflex/horn as opposed to the old direct radiating subs. It's a great all around system and it's certainly configurable and you can run external subs from the amps processing if you really need it... I've never needed to I always find myself turning the system down! |

Well I managed to get 4x ES subs and 2 ES tops in a little Fiat Doblo once....
So lots of output in quite transport friendly dimensions. To me a bit too much of a disco sound but still quite acceptable ! Edited by darkraver - 29 April 2012 at 4:19pm |

Used one lastnight in a far from ideal space acoustically. Really had to hack into it with EQ, found the tops fairly harsh and something missing in the low mid but once EQed I was really very happy with it. The boxes are well made, reasonably light, they handle well, have nice nice dolly boards, system goes together in seconds. Overall a nice experience.
es 1.0 tops and 1.8 subs |
