recently had "keypad locked" come up on one of the displays of my crown xti4000 power amps. Tried turning on with up/ down pressed at the sametime, but that hasnt cleared it.have put it under Harmans "bandmager" usb software to remote programme, but says it needs update through "system architect" software, connected to that, but to do a factory reset/ software update etc need to enter the password for that amp. tried the serial number off the back, 4000 and other combos but havent cracked it yet. Anyone know, or can i just remove a battery back up from inside, to clear settings. frustrating cos otherwise all works well,. just cant change dsp settings

Did you try holding the two right buttons down for about 6 seconds?
It should unlock after that. There is also a procedure to do a factory reset but your programming will be lost. Let me know if you need the procedure and I'll PM it to you.

Good old times when you didn't need a password for amps. Well, this is what you get when new kids are on the block.
