Looks like that could be a major development re electric vehicles .... probably less so wrt sound systems. We need higher charge density/size-weight really ......

Ancient news.

There's already experimental LiFeYPO4 batteries that handle 250C charges. In principle such a battery can be charged in less than a minute.

Big problem is that if it was to be used for car batteries the amount of power required would be enormous.

Let's take a small 30KWh battery pack for a car. To charge that in 1 minute you need a power supply capable of transferring 2.5MW to your batteries... safely.
