The guys from sequoia have the EV version of the cabinet. Ive got 4 of them too made by shuttle sound. We use them as kick bins at an install in manchester. They are ok but nothing amazingly special.

heey,

i started bulding one of these with a friend of me, but it's almost a year ago and the cab is still standing unfinished somewhere in a corner of the room eating dust...... it is quit near finished but while bulding it i realized it is far to big to handle while one road,  and i couldn't find the right specs for the right speakers.

so i'm bulding myself usb bins with mt122 on top now, and mayby a few labsubs under it.

if there is a speaker what fits in and works on the disign i might finish to report you the results.

if you wan't to buld a speaker where you can sleep or hide in this is defently the one
S.O.K.

I stuck my head in front (about a foot away from mouth) of one of the berthas at a club in Toronto called 'The Government' I think they had 6 in singles.  It was early into the night with dnb playing, they didn't have them turned up much at all yet but I almost blacked out and it felt like it was sucking the air out of my lungs... I've never heard such clean low bass before sounding like it was completely effortless to reproduce. They did have the barn doors on them. Shame though that I didn't get to hear them being used in anger as the entire main system went down as they started to bring up the volume and left us listening to the stage monitors Cry
If only they weren't so huge and heavy I would build an army of these!!!
Keep in mind that in terms of bins, the majority that I have heard have been rather plain reflex 2x18's, very old Vega folded horns, and our local club used to use 6 of those 4x18 EV manifold things up until last summer, and various car audio madness (always sounded like junk), so I really don't have much to go by for comparison here.

If you want it to be closer to what the originals were make the extension 48 inches and the elbow into a 60 to match the hyperbolic nature of this box.

I did this before I was told the horn path is hyperbolic.

Want some REAL thunder putt 2 JBL 2242s in each one of these. God help the people who have to move these though.  No Joke build it where you use it. I own 2 of them without the flares and even though mine are on castors, I'm about to kick them down the driveway and hope for the best.

Im not sure there is an 'official' way. I think most guys use eye bolts and ratchet straps. I was gonna use plates that bolted together but I haven't got around to making my extension yet (for the single 18" version)
Make it loud!
