There are a few models I have used for Horn loading, which doesn't include any of the new ones. One thing I didn't expect to see.--- A while back B and C started to make Neo versions of the Ferrite models. In the latest cat. they are now making Ferrite versions of the Neos. Cost has obviously led them to do this although the Latest Neo speaker prices have come down. I think the TBW speaker is for a Reflex cab. The speakers I have used for Horn loading are the 15NW76, 15PLB76, 15 and 18 PZB100's I currently use the 18SW115 in the RXjnr's. That's all I know about from personal experience.
Regarding this uneven pressure business, look at section of the box in question, and then figure out how you could compensate to try and even the pressure up, it could come to you in a flash.

Sorry for hijack. Tony, the PZB100 models super good in a custom folded horn simulated in hornresp. Horn path length is approx 230cm, Chamber volume is approx 80L, compression ratio is 2.2. Do you think the cone of the PZB100 is strong enough for it to work reliably.

Chamber size with horns always plays an important role, but I think in general terms the speaker will be ok. I did get in contact with B and C some time ago, and ask for a list of what they thought were good for horn loading and the PZB's were on the list. Providing the chamber isn't too small it will be good. If the chamber is too big, there will be conflict between the horn loading and the chamber.

Greetings, recently bought eight Tbx100 and I'm using copies of SB1000 EAW, and good the result is not as expected, just see this design recommended by B & C, and I imagine a lot to B36 Cerwin Vega and LS1208 Yorkville with slight changes in their actions, my question is.
which is the setting for this speaker cabinet design. I currently have 4 HD215, with speakers 3015LF of Eminence and 6 speakers copy of Turbosound TSE 111

The socket can go wherever you want to put it. Just make sure the cables are secured and won't rattle.

Old thread yes, but...can anyone point me to some recent-ish S18H build pics?
Looks like photobucket does not support the ones in this thread...all blurred out. I have scoured the net but no luck so far. I would like to build a pair of the S18H cabs as I have the drivers already. I have the drawings from B&C but actual pics would help a lot. Thanks |
