Roots Factory presents...

Afrikan Simba and Moa Anbessa Band (live)
Selector Levi
Alongside Roots Factory crew Brigadier JC

Afrikan Simba and Moa Anbessa
Hailing from Nigeria, award winning artist Afrikan Simba is one of the leading MC's in London, having worked with top sound systems such as Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti and Channel One. He has also recorded with the likes of Jah Warrior, Zion Train, Dub Judah & and runs his own ‘Ayamba’ record label, based in Jamaica. Whenever he takes up the mic, whether live or in the studio, a flow of conscious, spiritual and uplifting lyrics are guaranteed.

Levi Selector
Lorenzo Perera aka Levi Selecta / 7Locks comes from a musical family in Italy, where he grew up listening to the most diverse influences. Since embracing the Rastafarian faith at a young age he started to investigate deeply into reggae music, from the african/jamaican foundations up to modern dubwise. Moving to London gave him the opportunity to express his passion for music and vinyl to the fullness, in all aspects: playing as a selector alongside people like Joey Jay, Aba Shanti, Roots HiTek, Djolof Roots Sound and more, coupled with Stamina Li as MC on a regular basis, creating a record label called One In The Spirit and publishing music by the likes of The Disciples, The Bush Chemists, Rootsamala and The Basque Dub Foundation; spreading the vibes on radio and internet shows and promoting various cultural events too.
His musical selections will take you on a journey into the ocean which is reggae music, from the great classics into the depth of the vinyl rarities collected with love and dedication over 18 years of activity... moody ska, deep instrumentals, classic steppers, heavy dubs and dubplates, no matter the era or the style, all good music is connected and will flow naturally in the mix.

Roots Factory
Roots Factory is an independent collective of people which aims at promoting reggae culture by organising cultural events, producing music, and performing it ot the masses.
The collective started out in Ireland and ran its first gig in october 2007 and hasn’t looked back since, from hosting tents at festivals to running sessions all over Ireland and more recently in Bristol and London, where they are now based.
They have since worked with some of the most renowned musicians on the international scene as well as featured at major festivals and various club nights around Europe and beyond.
The vibes and the quality of the sound delivered are the main focus and the message is strictly conscious.
The selection is very eclectic, ranging from 70s roots to the most futuristic UK steppers dubs.
