Hi all,
Wanted to know if there is any wrong doing in adding 2 scoops(full size) to my 4 mini scoop set up? All together will run with the same speaker type, crossover freq and on the same amp.
Idea is to have 2 sets of minis stacked ontop of each other on their sides and to add one scoop standing up on each side. Thank you in advance for your help and comments. |

I believe the theory is, even full size scoops of different designs are not recommended to be stacked together due to phasing issues. The mismatched cabs have a potential of cancelling each other out.
Using identical cabs regardless of size allows the cabs to summ together without any possible dB loss due to phasing. Mismatching boxes is like playing the lottery |

What Motion said, more boxes makes more issues.
