What do you mean 'the file still can't be made properly'?
If you are defining a fixture profile/template, you should be able to define anything you want.

If the fixture is set up as:
1 = features
2 = feature adjust
3 = strobe
4 to 11 = Red
12 to 19 = Green
20 to 27 = Blue

why can you not simply create a profile that does that?

If the 27 channel mode uses RGBRGBRGBRGB, etc then just do that for the profile.

I was after a file that made it a lot simpler than having 27 dimmers on my screen, so i sent him the info..

this was the reply from chris at trace lighting
Realized last night that the way I was going to do it with the rrrrrrrr gggggggg bbbbbbbb mode wasn't going to leave you individual control of the cells. I take it none of it's modes are RGB RGB RGB ? That would help an awful lot an is very common. As it is you'll land up with 8 colour pickers or lots of faders, neither of which seem ideal.
