http://news.softpedia.com/news/Say-Goodbye-to-QUAKE-LIVE-for-Linux-398356.shtml

Just as I figured out how to get my old Radeon HD graphics card, to work with AMD legacy proprietary driver goodness, on Ubuntu 13.04, specifically for playing QuakeLive online, I find out they've moved from browser plugin to Windows native client only.. Grrr...

Definitely p*ssd off, as 99% of Ubuntu sites say what I've done is impossible..

Will have to settle for free copy of Quake 3 Arena for Linux, I've just grabbed from ID web site, till I find some Linux games worth getting into.. LOL

Nothing wrong with windows, 99% of games and software work on it, whats not to love?

LOL

Once I weened myself off Outlook, Office, WLM, realised Windows was gone from main desktop for good.

I'm not a "boy gamer 'phreak" anymore, so prefer the security & stability of Linux, and don't mind  spending time hunting down decent Linux games.

Wink
