Visited an amusement park with my daughters yesterday. They added a new light/fire/water show with what seemed to be water squirting moving heads. I found it pretty impressive, even in bright daylight.

they must have some badass central pumps feeding all those points. My guess is pneumatic operated valves to allow the quick bursts fed from one or two large high pressure pump stations. Add some high powered underwater LED's and job done. Guessing the lake is also chlorinated and heavily dosed with Ultraviolet keep it nice and clear/avoid any heads getting blocked.

The pond is connected to some of their other water rides. Fish & ducks seem to be quite happy in the water.
