Thinking of buying some V2's, what amp power is recommended for these cabs?
Also i had a look and i believe the width of the cab to be 500mm, is this correct? What are the other dimensions? Trying to think if i can get them in a door to my store room |

Also looking for help with the delay times for these. Im looking to run with some 15 + 1 reflex tops.
Am i right in thinking a delay on the tops of 1.8m would be correct? |

we believe the 4 here are sold but have some more empty cabs. not much use to us except for firewood & not even so good for that. I detest them myself but were here before me just glad they all going as they really are junk the other guys got them before they learned better I refuse to use them at all a 1 octave bass system is a joke

We run 2.3m delay on our Reflex tops when used with punishers... This is derived from the recommended xtro-punisher settings and sounds pretty much spot on to my ears

Yeah man we're brighton based, you might have seen the rig out and about. We normally link up with a system from cranleigh and run four v3's under pd186 loaded tse118s and NJD NI15600 reflex tops :)

The punisher is by far one of the best bass cabinets I’ve heard its responsive moves allot of air and is punchy and delivers a nice thick bass down to 40 hz when stacked with others, we own 18 v3s and use martin audio h3 black line tops the combination is very impressive all powered off void amps, we used to use turbo sound tms2s which is also a very good combination it just lacks a little in mid. We have done raves/ events for over 5 years with the usual set up of 12 x punishers and 4 x tms2 we moved from punisher v2 to v3 recently because as you will probably find all v2s start rattling due to the thinner size ply v3s use 18mm and are extra braced to solve that it does make the sound slightly sturdier as well. We have had this set up next to full pro audio rigs on a number of occasions and it certainly stands the test against them, at French tek 2011 we literally smashed the shit out a void rig twice the size and expense in terms of sound a power in fact one of the rig owner even agreed with this. I’d say the best rig in my opinion when compared with the rig we had was labs usbs and porn horns again testament to the fact you don’t have to spend 50,000 on pro audio to be good. you need good power that matches perfectly your set up which I think is key from good amps in getting the right sound of this rig, the right delay and a couple of eq tweeks and you have the potential to have something that sounds really impressive. |
