Right, 2 years on how these play?? Always been a fan of small boxes that play low and heavy. How do they throw? Whats the 30/40hz like? Isit more of a 30-50hz monster or 50+ monster?? Cheers

Intrigued on how these have performed too. Don't see 21'' PD being used alot (nothing wrong with that, just an observation).

I agree that the horn mouth looks too small, however just could be because a 21'' driver is loaded in, and it's askewing peoples minds eye of what they normally see with miniscoops.

Any photos during build to see the chamber etc?

I swear I've also seen people saying that horn mouths on scoops are just aesthetic and that the business end of it happens up at the top of the cab, however I think that was some discussions in what part the curve of the scoop has to play on overall sound.

Look like very nice builds though, and I'm a big fan of mini scoops after seeing what have HMAudio's have done first hand, can be deadly when powered and controlled right.

Learned person here once said, Mini Scoops have ports not horn mouths, whereas full Scoops are proper rear loaded horns, with throat, horn, back chamber, horn mouth.

A mini scoop is a quarter wave tube/ transmission line to be precise. You can check whether something is this or a real scoop/rearloaded horn by looking at the impedance plot. A true scoop will only show small peaks and an overall increased impedance in the upper passband while a "mini scoop" will show large peaks (and therefor higher q resonances in between) like a reflex enclosure.
