Oh and to have an in and out is easy, just parallel the wires 1+ to 1+ and 1- to 1- on the speakons and then wire to your speaker.

Yes you don't need 2+ and - for what you are doing. They are usually for if you had a mid/high cabinet with say a 12" speaker and a compression driver/horn. you would connect the 12" to 1 and the compression driver to 2. you would then use a 4 core cable which would connect to 2 seperate amplifiers, one to drive the 12" and one to drive the compression driver which would both be fed from an active crossover. All my mid/top cabinets and stage wedge monitors are wired like this.
