Done that too... but at that point it started becoming a PITA, as in order to fit them I have to fiddle around with washers that I can never find, and a riveter that's always buried at the bottom of the wrong toolbox. |

Just my opinion, but front loaded speakons look ugly, and rear mounted look super special, and as you quite rightly say, when moving at high speed they are far more aerodynamic, Ive known roadies get up to almost 1 mph when speakons are mounted correctly. |

Only other problem with rear mount, is when the Chinese try and do pro looking flush rear mount, they use massive cheese head screws/bolts, that foul the tab on the speakon plug... If you could, you should rear mount (fanarrgh), but just can't be arsed for aesthetic versus practicality. I do carry that ethos through to my personal life too, very practical hair, leave the eyebrows bushey to keep the sweat out of my eyes, expensive STCs for comfort. Crap. i have just realised I am a lesbian. Carry On.
