I've had an Acme (ProLight) HP4D vertical fogger for a long while and recently decided to switch from normal fog to C02-type quick-dispersal, so that I could use it as a 'statement' effect and just run a haze machine in the background to emphasise my beam effects.

I must have had a case of complete brain fade because I ran the machine dry before putting the new fluid in, and now I have the problem in that nothing happens when I use the machine.

I'm assuming that there has to be a certain amount of fluid in the motor to create a vacuum to suck he fluid from the reservoir bottle, but have no idea how to prime the motor - I'm pretty certain that I didn't have to do it when I got the machine (maybe it came already primed).

Helpful suggestions welcomed.

If your vaccinations were mandatory and nobody in your class had measles,
then you know that you're not a Millenial kid.

Check if the pump motor is still running if not you have either burnt out the coil or the diode. Running the pump dry destroys them in most cases

Thanx Bruce, I'll check to see what the state of play under the cover is.
