Hey folks!

I have a Peavey GPS3500 that I fired up for a gig and didn't turn on.  It worked fine the gig before....

No smoke... no smell...

I popped the case open for a quick look and didn't see anything obvious.

Any of you know a common failure point or fuse that I may have missed?
I know its the old school heavy amp technology, but it's what I have for right now.

The local repair place wants a minimum of $80 just to look at it.  I hate to pay $100 for a blown fuse...

Thanks!

They are actually very good amps. Soft start relay is a common problem. But i am not sure if you can test it on your own.

Thank you.

Will that cause nothing to turn on at all, not even the power indicator?

Start from the plugtop has the fuse blown?
Has the primary fuse at the back of the amp blown?

Check these 1st..

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

There is no fuse on the back of the amp.  I was kind of surprised at that.

I'll try to post pictures, but I don't SEE a fuse on the inside either.

Pics to follow

Photobucket seem to have decided to screw over their users by not allowing displaying your pics in a forum; you'll probably need to use a different host (Imgur is popular) or upload direct to the forum. (The latter tends to lose a little resolution IMO.)

They must have just changed it, it worked thursday.

I'm out of town right now, I'll have to fix it when I get home.

the GPS range don't have an internal fuse, the power switch is a breaker.
