Hey folks!
I have a Peavey GPS3500 that I fired up for a gig and didn't turn on. It worked fine the gig before.... No smoke... no smell... I popped the case open for a quick look and didn't see anything obvious. Any of you know a common failure point or fuse that I may have missed? I know its the old school heavy amp technology, but it's what I have for right now. The local repair place wants a minimum of $80 just to look at it. I hate to pay $100 for a blown fuse... Thanks!

They are actually very good amps. Soft start relay is a common problem. But i am not sure if you can test it on your own.

Thank you.
Will that cause nothing to turn on at all, not even the power indicator?

If it sounds like a gorilla is trying to escape, turn it down.

There is no fuse on the back of the amp. I was kind of surprised at that.
I'll try to post pictures, but I don't SEE a fuse on the inside either. Pics to follow

Photobucket seem to have decided to screw over their users by not allowing displaying your pics in a forum; you'll probably need to use a different host (Imgur is popular) or upload direct to the forum. (The latter tends to lose a little resolution IMO.)

They must have just changed it, it worked thursday.
I'm out of town right now, I'll have to fix it when I get home. |

the GPS range don't have an internal fuse, the power switch is a breaker.
