This weekend I started the build for the Mogale 18" super scoop. At this point I've got everything cut ready for assembly, picked up a pair of subwoofers for a bargain price so I'll have to build a second one later, this is the trail run!
My question is regarding the filtering, as stated on the design plans, the driver becomes unloaded below 30Hz. I've got an old active crossover at my Dads house I'll use to filter the treble and mids out before going to the scoops but what do I do about filtering below 30Hz? I was certain I'd be able to find a device for this after a quick google but unsure what to get. Any suggestions?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Look at amp and crossover. You are looking for High Pass Filter (HPF). Even cheap Berry has 25hz one
It's everything, not everythink!

25hz filter next to no help here.

Get Behringer DCX 2496 Ultradrive.

You will need between 35-38hz, 18-24db slope, depending on amps, drivers, processing.
Post these types of questions in Scoop Forum, no where else.

With right Scoops, drivers, amps, experience, you can then think about running Scoops down to 32hz, and playing gig all night, without blowing anything.
