Hi there,
so I'm about to build some double punishers and been searching the for drivers suitable for this horn. Ideally a more "modern", effeccient and lightweight neo driver than the Ciare 12sw. After searching my usual brands of choice 18sound and BMS i had found no drivers "obscure" enough for the punisher. I have no experience with Beyma's products and do not want to compromise on quality of drivers.
The 12SW1300Nd sims very well in the punisher although slightly more rippled and more 100-200Hz respons. The pricetag indicates that some good ingeneering has been put in it. So anyone who has experience with this driver or just the brand in general?
Cheers,
Fred

TBX100 sounds good, they do an neo NBX version, and the NW100 that should also work,  the 18 sound lw1400 also sounds good, ive not tried the beyma, question is if the cones can take the high compression loading at long term high spl... safe bet is to stick with the Ciare.

Faital 12RS1066 has a nice solid cone but the chassis wont fit in a punisher without some changes.

I posted some relevant info a few years back in this section. Might wanna look it up and read about it. Back than it was also about Beyma (and other speakers) in Punishers. What I posted back than is still valid today, especially the part why a 12.00SW is about the only option if you're going to use them as low as the design allows, down to the lower 40 Hz region and even that only in multiples like 4+.

the 12sw is one hell of a driver, iconic in a sense. it's a main point to why the punisher is such a versatile cab. i.e. small flh, usable in small numbers to go reasonably low

There was a Neo version of the 12SW, might be worth asking Nigel at Lean Business if he can get some?

Wow, i had not even considered B&C. The Nw100 has an BL figure of 28.0 and EBP 200Hz!
I'm aware of the 12sw versus other lower Xmax/higher sensitivity driver trade-offs. I'm going to use them with true subwoofers for bass heavy gigs. The 100Nw seems like the king of this last type of driver though!
Thanks
