Been thinking about converting my halogen lights for ages. I've got 4 mojo spin master 3's and they are way better than any LED lighting under £200.
Brought 100w led, driver, and reflector from china. Mounted on PC heatsink. Runs cool. As bright if not brighter than 250w halogen. All fits in the case sweet. £18. I'll tell you if it lasts 20 years in about 20 years time. :) let me know if anyone wants pictures of the inside... |

Bloke on the blueroom forum has converted Miniscans to LED. He sells kits to do it. He'd be a good place to start

Pics would be good (remember you've got to host them somewhere and then post the link on this forum).
Also, a link to the LED, reflector etc would be nice. |

Here is some pictures and a quick video of what I have done. Just waiting for the LED reflector to arrive then that can go in as well, there is also a lens on the way but I don't think its going to make any difference.

Gotta say, the whole point of LED is not to use Dichro rejection filters, most "white" LEDs are actually UV chips with a flouresent material infront of them to get white, LEDs only do a very narrow spectrum per chip, white is very broad, hence the UV system...
Use a RGB or and RGBA cluster and loose the colour wheel!!! |

Fair enough, suppose I could take the dichroic filters off the wheel. I'm looking at converting Martic Acrobats which have a combined colour/gobo wheel.
