Thought i'd better take some pics before i go ahead and paint them and cover up the lovely woodwork that Dom's done on the most recent set of cabs for me. 2 more HD15's and another of the 2 x 18 Beyma BP6 design.

Yeah, the panels are all t-nutted. The drivers are held in by 4 clamps and 2 locating pins in case the clamps come loose. One of Dom's had shifted in the cab and had destroyed the surround against the baffle so its just a precautionary measure to stop them moving. I spent the day painting them today and tomorrow night i'll be riveting the hardware on the cabs so i'll do some 'after' shots too. They're looking bloody sexy.... I really need to get around to revamping the other 4 HD15's i've got so they all look the same tho. I'll justmention again, i'm doing the easy bit, Dom's the man responsible for the tough part |

Ok, got them painted and hardware fitted now. Sorry for the bad pictures, it's bloody hard taking pics of black cabs and getting any sort of depth.

Nope, just Aldcroft Adhesives black stain on the interior and round the access panels (so that they still fit snuggly after painting without sticking or wedging) and Aldcroft speaker paint applied with a textured roller on the outside. Did 2 coats and would have liked to have done a 3rd but run out of time this week and had to get the hardware on tonight.

Hmm... Envy you, I do not... When you see Dave this weekend, ask him what state I was in after I spent a day "revamping" the other 8 bins that Mateio's using.... |

I plan to drill the edging off, go to B&Q, buy one of their cheapy routers, abuse it rounding off the edges on the 4 cabs so it breaks so i can take it back in disgust and get a refund. Then a light sanding and roller them a new top coat of Aldcroft paint followed by some new corners. Bargain!! |

You can buy a router from Argos at the moment for £9.99... It's actually cheaper than a half decent roundover bit... Clear off the sawdust and you could even take it back under their 16 day guarantee... Obviously the router is a pile of crap, but you can't really go wrong with a rounding over bit as the bearing and the cutter make up for the inaccuracy of the router. Foam is available from CPC for about £5 per square metre. |
