Just wondering how the sound compares between hd215's and ASS BS1200's.
Do the BS1200's have a comparable kick to hd15's or is the response a bit slower and deeper? |

BS1200 has another fold,so has a much longer horn path, and a much larger mouth area,as its a 2x15....it will go lower, they can be used as stand-alone bass cabs without the need for a sub...its one of the most successful cabinets Tony built, and everyone who owns them loves them....the only down-side is the weight.

i found the b600 (single version of b1200) to sound very nice, struck a good balance between depth and punch and sounded very musical |

the BS1200 is in a different league. In my opinion it is one of the best all-round bass bins ever made. I think that most popular bass cabinets pale in comparrison.
The BS1200 drops lower than you'd expect and significantly lower than an HD15, it is FAR louder and is a more musical speaker.
A block of 4 loaded with PD1550 drivers is punishing.
Put a pile of massive hornloaded subs underneath and you have my idea of bass heaven.

So I guess the real question is, how does BS1200 compare to 2x18 USB/2x ESBPH18 ? |

Got hold of a pair BS1200's loaded with JBL 2226h for £600 so i'm pretty happy.
How do the JBL's compare with the PD's? Thanks for your input chaps look forward to hearing them. |
