Thanks But this setup also kicks some serious ass with six or eight 186 bins as well.

I'm also interested in the tops, but they're not a SMT*12 design...

i don't say that they are SMT212 designs. It looks like. The horn of the high freq. is taken of and placed inside de double 12 mouth.
Before i have made also the SMT212 only the 12" part with coaxial speakers inside. Edited by Roland - 01 August 2012 at 11:11am |

the 186 horns will have coupled just fine in that config, the horn mouths are well within 1/4wavelength haha [bearing in mind the horn mouth is right the way to where the angled section hits the panel fronting the rear chamber.
and i love the dual 12 + comp midtops, the way they array looks good, long as the comp flare dispersion matches it - would be interesting seeing their plans. Are the row of single 12 and comps really necessary on top of them though, seems a tad overkill and would have some possible drawbacks which outweigh the advantages, maybe a less is more circumstance. Either way, i bet that sounds very impressive, especially with the 21" scoops, very well thought out system .Edited by mk2_ginger_biscuit69 - 30 January 2013 at 3:21pm |
