bears a more than passing resemblance to the rcf bass bin, as featured in
staiper's speaker building pics site. interestingly, the rcf bass bin lives on as the bottom end of the new kv2 vhd system. it differs slightly from the old rcf bin (same designer), i quote at something like fourth hand, but they were heard to say we made it a little bit deeper and it went a little bit louder and a little bit lower... sounds good to me. james. |

In a webcafe and machine is so slow I can't get the response links here to open... but even if I saw them I'd probably need to ask this anyway..
Anyone have any idea how these cabs (or similar designs like the rcf or b-line) sound higher up the range.. i've been wondering if something like this might be a good option to play above scoops, in a similar frequency range to a HD15. As the design has both front and rear driver output I'm guessing the phase issues would be much reduced over combining scoops with a straight horn or HD15 type bandpass horn.
Any thoughts, or better, anyone heard these cabs played up to say 180Hz?
