I think in the beginning they were Celestion twin cone speakers, and in later models it could have been their own speaker which was developed by Ed Form.

Yes,later ones had their own driver,HH DC80,an 80watt twin cone with
the magnesium alloy chassis. They were nice little drivers as long as you
stored them somewhere warm and dry.

They remind me of the twin cone 200w Fane - never found the exact model no. but very loud and reliable.

I had a 412DC years ago that I chopped in half to make a pair of 212DCs (there was a pair of 412DCs once but one got nicked!) and when I took the drivers out to cut it in half I can remember it had two different types of driver fitted, both twin cone and looked identical from the front but two of them had a large magnet and two of them had smaller magnets and a black plastic over the magnet (now I think of it, one of the plastic covers had come off and was rattling around inside the cabinet). The frequency response was also different with more bass and less top end from one driver and less bass and more mid top from the other, they also had pressed steel chassis rather than the cast chassis pictured above although I did have a couple of those too in some little 12 + horn cabs with some old cast aluminium Fane horns, they actually sounded pretty good from memory.
