Bit before even my time! My Quad 44/405 combination is still going strong after about 45 yeas (I am its third owner - and still have all the original leads and additional boards unfortunately I got rid of the original boxes a few years back). If I could afford it I would have both units upgraded as the caps are probably well past their use-by date and the performance would be improved somewhat but otherwise I am very happy with them. Speakers, on the other hand, do show their age - I love my AR98LSs (most of the original drivers have been replaced over the years (accidents, not wear & tear) but, again, given the money I would certainly invest in something a lot more modern.
For sidefills, can we have two enormous things of a type that might be venerated as Gods by the inhabitants of Easter Island, capable of reaching volumes that would make Beelzebub soil his pants.
