hello evry 1 i m planning to build a 18'' hog scoop. so i was confused with the drivers of rcf & pd 1852 which is a new make ,so any 1 can suggest me which is good for it . the hog scoop which i m planning to build is for road show n as wel as a dance stack.

Plans recommend PD1850, V18-1000, V18-1200, 18TBX100 or 18LW1400 on Free Speaker Plans. I have never used hogs myself so I would personally just go with the suggested drivers if available. Not that I doubt you could find a great RCF for the job, or that 1852 would do it too, just that it is a bit of an expensive gamble, should those drivers not work out for whatever reason. You could always try to sim it in Horn Resp though.

we use 1851's running 3.6k into 2 drivers and with only 2 hogs the bass is pretty savage

pd 1850 has a issues of cone trearing prob cos it has only two rings in the end.. so pd 1850 i don prefer n here in india,chinese makes of pd has been made a lot of production n sold by dealers it self so a bit risky to take it... n void we don have any dealers to sell.. rest have to try

wat abt celestion cf18vjd which has good power n also voice coil of 5inch.. has any 1 heard or tired in the scops or the hogs???
