Silly question but when inputting the data into the export of the schematic function, where should I get the height and width values from on the actual schematic diagram? Only way I can think to do it is if width is length but I'm assuming not.

After selecting Rectangular Horn you input whatever width you want based on the size of your cab, it calculates the height as a function of the horn you've specified in the Input Parameters; eg

Okay, so what exactly is S2 asking for in hornresp? I assumed would be mouth area but it would appear I'm wrong and no amount of reading is helping me clear up what each "S" in horn resp is asking for. I understand that they are areas along the length but how do I know which segment corresponds to which part of my horn length?

You are the person who decides where to set the segment points in your horn path. They go where you want them to. The final segment end is the mouth, the initial degment start is the throat. Common sense says you put one whereever there is a change in expansion type/rate of your horn. If you are simulating an exponential horn with constant flare rate then use one segment because that's all you need. If you are simulating a synergy horn style linear double flare then use 2 conical segments. You're building a model, so use just enough information to describe your design as close to reality as possible without over modelling with excess and unecessary info. |
