I had 5 of them in an arch at pretty much head height right by the mix position!

That's a bit rude, who was the LD? Paul DV? Lawrence?

I had the pleasure of assisting Mr Bamber with the logistics on this show, that was my obsessive nature lining all the boxes up so neatly :) Anyway James knowing of your affiliation with Coloursound we wondered if perchance unbeknownst to us whether you might have been onsite, so it is good to read that it was not so but maybe next time.

Yeah, it was a bit mental. One of them in the face isn't fun, let alone 5!
We did get quite a few Hospitality people saying they loved the system

Haha they had a tree of them at PLASA on the AC stand, with a sign saying don't look at the light.
Cleverbollocks here decided to look at the light. Just as they ramped up the brightness!

5 of them right next to a stack of six quakes and three X3 led to an uncomfortable place to stand, not even security stood there very long!

I still need to hear the x3's Badly! Do you not need quite a few of them to give a good coverage due to the 20 degree dispersion though? Heard you're Quakes at Outlook 2011 and have been in love ever since :)
Lighting in that video does look really good as well!

I don't know Chris, production often books the LD direct so I thought it might have been one of their regulars. I'm not often booked for split-shift one nighters, due to not living in London and due to my reluctance to operate desks, it's the wrong end of the multicore for me, dimmer man / rigger / "touring butler" are more my place in life! Look forward to hearing your x3's sometime

I think all the kit was dry hired actually by the production team.

Anytime you want to hear the X3, they're here!
