I miss that car Cry

i love that clio. it really is surprising how much i can get into it. the X1s there.. that was an exception though. to do that... heh.. i had to unbolt the 2 front seats, to make enough room in the footwell to rotate the first X1, then bolt the drivers seat back in again.. etc. only did that once... heh... troublesome but did the job in an emergency.

aah volvo 240..i had one for a couple of years it was a beast.

i once carried:

3.5k wavefront system (2 tops 2 subs) amp rack, decks mixer, lighting truss with lightshow AND a 10 x 16 black and white dancefloor.

i must stress that in no way whatsoever was this legal.

the dancefloor company said it weighed 80kg in fact it was 320kg.

i've never driven such an overloaded vehicle, mind you, didnt get a pull so alls well...

Four HD15s
Lighting case
3U Rack (Processing gear)
2 Technics Mk2 cased
2 Mixers
2 Bags of cables
1 massive DJ table
2 Recordbags with 80 vinyls each,
And two MidTops (15+1) on the roof

of a Volvo 940 Estate.

When driver and co-pilot got in, the rest of us decided that we would not make it to romania like this, so we left two HDs at home and put the MidTops inside.

That's good to know, I got 4 HD15s in my Clio the other day but I did have to put one in the front passenger seat!

in my foolish youth, (well not so long ago actually) i managed to fit into my trusty old volvo 240 (last seen dangling from a balloon in the ford commercial half time during an england match....no really)

3.5k system (2 x martin audio wavefront w3 and 2 x w8cs with amp rack)
dj set up, 2 x technics and mixer plus monitor
2 x wind up stands and 4m truss
2 martin mx4's plus 2 x datamoons, mirror ball and smoke machine

plus...

a 14ft x 12ft black and white dancefloor...

the guys at albert hall seriously misled me as to the weight of said dancefloor...

driven across london into the city and back with no pull from the rozzers.

foolish but certainly the biggest overload ive ever seen...
