That's around the 14K mark.

That's quite impressive.  One of my mates tours racks with 2x VZ5000,2xMA2400 in a steel framed flightcase.  Got to be a similar weight or maybe even a bit more.

At the other end of the scale another mates Lab Gruppen racks with say six of them in there you can get 36kW of power out of a rack which weighs sub 100kg!

Well...

All my big amps are in seperate racks (3 prolines, 3 racks).. I have another rack with 2 berry ep2500s.. and the processing rack with monitor amp, DCX2496, DEQ2496 and AVC2.

So stairs arnt really a problem, just means running up and down 5 times.

My rack as it stands is very light indeed. Got 2 x PLX 3402's and a Berry xover, all housed in a SKB lightweight rack.

Gonna changing things round though in the next few weeks, wanna add an amp to drive the new tops and an amp for the new mids so will be getting a little heavier. Gonne be using the PLX's in bridge to run a BS1200 each

Had to prep a hired in rack for a company I was working for...
5 v vz5`s in a full suspended reinforced rack with flying points.....
We took bets on total weight...I lost but was close
280kg against a real weight of 295 !!!

So glad mine is 60kg and could do the same job!

.p.

Mostly harmless.... except if catering is shut.
