Ive mesured the distance from the point which the baffle meets the curved section to the back wall too short, i mesured it from the edge of the wood not from the back wall, so internally its 182mm instead of 200mm.  Is this going to make a big difference to the sound?  Its done now all the glue is dry so its going to be like this, but i was just wondering if this was big enough to make much difference to the sound?

Thanks.

James

Probably will make a slight difference, but is it audible? probably not.

If I understand correctly what you mean, youve made the horn slightly higher compression at the throat.

since i ts only a wood thickness difference, its probably ~100cm^2 different throat area, which is about a 20% difference, wont change that much. The rear chamber will be slightly more compliant and not reduce excursion quite as much, but again not a problem probably

Cheers!
